VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Tidal conditions from Hurricane Irma shut down the Turnbull Bay Bridge in New Smyrna Beach Sunday while high winds caused officials to shut down Dunlawton Bridge in Port Orange.
The Granada Bridge was closed to eastbound traffic Sunday evening in Ormond Beach. The westbound lanes remained open, city officials said.

Due to the storm conditions, Turnbull Bay Bridge became submerged and was impassable, Volusia County officials said.
Motorists should avoid the area.
Drivers heading east should detour using Williams Road and those driving west should stay on U.S. 1, officials said.
All drivers were urged to stay off Volusia County roads and residents should not try to walk or wade through flood waters.
“Just six inches of moving water can knock you down, and one foot of fast-moving water can sweep your vehicle away,” Volusia County government said in a statement.
Underground or downed power lines could also cause the flood waters to become electrified, officials said.
