The clouds that came with the cold front, which cleared Central Florida on Thursday, held the temperatures anywhere between 9 to 20 degrees cooler than Wednesday's highs.
"The winds were cranking near 35 mph in Daytona Beach," says Channel 9 certified meteorologist George Waldenberger
If you are traveling to south Florida, the storms are more likely to affect that region on Thursday evening and have more coverage.
After the front clears Central Florida, expect highs on Friday in the upper 70s, with low humidity and breezy conditions. These factors will elevate the fire risk, so please make sure you exercise caution if doing any activities involving fire.

Marine conditions will be rough through Saturday. A small craft advisory is in effect for the coastal and open waters along our eastern beaches until Saturday morning. High surf advisory in effect through Friday afternoon due to the windy conditions, seas up to 7 feet and a high risk for rip currents.
The forecast looks to stay rain free through much of the weekend. Sunday, there is a very small chance for light showers as the humidity slightly increases after the winds change on Saturday and enough humidity streams in from the Atlantic.
