Wait! There is more rain coming tonight; temps drop to the 40s

ORLANDO, Fla. — Storms were strong in the afternoon and there was only one severe storm warning issued for Brevard County, it expired shortly after 5 p.m. The storms were moving fast to the east, and the downpours will continue to race eastward overnight, at about 30 mph.

Some downpours will continue to stream in from the west as the cold front sweeps over Central Florida.
Some spots northwest of Orlando have received 1 to 2 inches of rain during the early afternoon, and areas south of Orlando will get the most rain activity overnight.
Showers will taper off shortly after midnight, with the clouds hanging tight over from Orlando to the south through 5 a.m. By sunrise, the clouds will start to dissipate and skies are expected to be mostly clear by noon Thursday.
Highs will be in the low 60s Thursday. It will be windy, which will make the temperatures feel even colder. Counties to the north of Orange County, such as Seminole, Lake, Volusia, Marion, and Sumter counties, will struggle to reach the 60s.
No humidity on Thursday or through much of the weekend.
Friday morning will be cold, temperatures will be in the low 40s and by sunrise, many places will be in the mid to upper 30s.
Remember the kids, pets, and elderly tonight! They are more sensitive to cold temperatures.
