Hurricane Matthew: Some Central Florida schools reopen Monday

FLORIDA — BREVARD COUNTY:
The district announced late Saturday that schools will be closed Monday. School officials said although they tried, they can't guarantee power will be 100 percent restored by Monday.

FLAGLER COUNTY:

LAKE COUNTY:

Schools will resume Monday.

MARION COUNTY:

A decision has not been made yet. Check back for updates.

ORANGE COUNTY:

The Orange County School District said on its website that schools will reopen Monday.

The district also announced make-up days for students will be Oct. 28 and Apr. 28, 2017.

OSCEOLA COUNTY:
Per the Osceola County School District's website, schools will be reopened Monday. Here is more information on rescheduled events and make-up days.

POLK COUNTY:

Public schools are expected to reopen Monday in Polk County, officials announced Friday.

Schools will be checked over the weekend to make sure they don’t have any major damage from Hurricane Matthew.

Buses will also resume service to pick up students. School officials said the school’s website should be checked for any changes on sports schedules or other activities.

Private and charter schools should be contacted to find out if they’re open on Monday, officials said.

The district will send out automated phone calls and post on its website and social media accounts about any changes.

SEMINOLE COUNTY:
The Seminole County School District announced Saturday that its schools will resume Monday.

VOLUSIA COUNTY:
Schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday, per the district.
