This is one situation where his jokes couldn't save him!
British comedian Russell Brand was detained in Japan on Sunday and promptly deported from the country after authorities discovered his criminal past.

Brand, who had flown to Tokyo to watch his wife Katy Perry perform in concert, has previously been arrested on 11 separate occasions. Most of the arrests -- which Brand has spoken openly about -- were from over ten years ago and were for drug offenses and public indecency.
After the unfortunate turn of events with Japanese authorities, the actor and the rock star then took to their Twitter accounts to vent.
