Toyota of Orlando scopes out the Central Florida International Auto Show! 

The Central Florida International Auto Show took place at the Orange County Convention Center this past weekend, and Toyota of Orlando was lucky enough to attend! We spent the afternoon wandering the huge show, taking in all of the new Toyota and Scion in Orlando. It also gave us a chance to compare our products to competitors, as well as check out some amazing new luxury cars (hello, Ferrari!). However, we were most impressed with the vast number of new Toyota in Central Florida that we were able to explore as we made our way through the Toyota display! 

2013 Toyota Avalon in the spotlight

The first thing that caught our eye was the 2013 Toyota Avalon in Orlando – and how could we miss it? It was up on a platform to draw well-deserved attention. The new Toyota Avalon has been the topic of discussion in the automotive industry lately, as it boasts a super stylish new redesign and an incredibly lux interior. We also were drawn to the 2012 Toyota Camry – this new Toyota has always been a crowd-pleaser, as noted by its status as the best-selling car in America for the past ten years. You could also check out the exteriors and interiors of other new Toyota in Orlando, like the 2013 Toyota Corolla, the stylish new Toyota Sienna, and even a 2012 Toyota RAV4. We even got to check out amazing new Toyota trucks on display, like a super tough Toyota Tundra and a stylish Toyota Tacoma complete with cool exterior graphics. 

The Orlando Toyota Prius family was also out in force, with the 2013 Toyota Prius up on a stage and the Toyota Prius v drawing in show-goers with its sleek design and promise for major fuel efficiency. All members of the Toyota Prius family offer fuel economy that’s through the roof, with both the Orlando Toyota Prius and Toyota Prius c giving drivers 50mpg, and the Toyota Prius v not far behind with an impressive 42 mpg. You could easily pop into all three models to check out features like the display audio system or the innovative Smart Key System. 

New Scion in Orlando steal the show

We also got to explore a great deal of new Scion in Orlando! The entire Scion family in Central Florida was there, but the 2013 Scion FR-S definitely stole the spotlight. Other popular options that drew the crowds included the 2013 Scion iQ, a compact hatchback, and the sporty new Scion tC, which offers a coupe solution. All of the new Scion options were also open to the public, so we were able to get under the hood of the 2013 Scion FR-S to check out the unique boxer engine (AND compare it to the Subaru BRZ). However, people were so eager to check out all of the new Scion in Orlando that we had a hard time getting close enough to admire them!
