Toyota is constantly pushing the envelope with new designs, technology, and research, which it then pours into all of its amazing vehicles. Recently at the Detroit Auto Show, they unveiled a new concept car that’s rumored to have some influence on the speculated redesign of the 2014 Toyota Corolla in Orlando – the Toyota Corolla Furia! Our Orlando Toyota dealership was astounded by the fresh new style that this new Toyota concept offers, and we can’t wait to see which elements make it into the 2014 redesign of the best-selling compact car in America!
The Toyota Corolla Furia is a modified version of the 2013 Toyota Corolla in Orlando. The Furia, however, has a seriously aggressive style. For starters, it comes in a burnt orange hue quite similar to the color Hot Lava, which you’ll find on the 2013 Scion FR-S in Orlando. The Furia’s paint color is sleekly accented by a two-toned design – you’ll find a constrasting dark hue along the bottom of the car for serious style. It also sits on 19 inch wheels, which are quite a bit larger than the standard 15 inch wheels you’ll find on the 2013 Toyota Corolla!
The Toyota Corolla Furia also features a more modern look thanks to elements like narrower headlights and vertical marker lights. It boasts a blacked out grille that increases the sportiness of its look, as well as a longer wheelbase (by almost 4 inches) for a sleeker stance. The Furia sits lower to the ground (which we all know enhances appearance – take the 2013 Scion FR-S as an example), and has cool arrow-shaped taillights, which stand out enormously and add a hint of creativity to the rear. The Toyota Corolla Furia also debuts a shorter hood and a sloped roofline.
You’ll also find tons of carbon fiber accents on the Furia, speckled everywhere from the wheel wells to the sport side rocker panels. Toyota describes the design as “Iconic Dynamism” – in other words, they want to create a car that’s both more recognizable and more appealing to consumers from younger generations. They utilizes more simple design elements, but intertwined them to create quite the final product! What do you think of the new Toyota Corolla Furia?
This particular new Toyota is just a concept car, but there’s much speculation that some of its design elements will find their way into the 2014 Toyota Corolla, which is up for a completely new look in its new model year. Toyota of Orlando can’t wait to see what’s in store!
