Winter officially starts Friday morning December 21st at 6:12am - and at that time we'll have a strong cold front moving into central Florida.  Our coldest weather so far this dry season (Since mid-Oct) will be this weekend where both Saturday and Sunday morning we'll have the potential of a freeze or frost.  Orlando will stay clear of a freeze, but patchy frost is possible outside of the downtown area.   A more widespread freeze area is expected across parts of: Lake, Sumter, Marion, interior Volusia, and interior Flagler counties.  Frost will also be a concern, especially in areas that don't officially freeze, but rather have lows in the mid and upper 30s.  We'll keep you updated as the weekend approaches, but be prepared to cover your plants in the freeze areas.
