Houston, TX -- (Sports Network) - Tina Thompson scored 19 points to get the Houston Comets to .500 mark for the first time this season, beating the Sacramento Monarchs 73-65.

Houston has won two straight and six of seven to erase a terrible start to the season, when the team lost its first five games.

Sancho Lyttle added 10 points and 13 rebounds while Michelle Snow contributed 17 points for the Comets.

Nicole Powell led the way with 18 points for the Monarchs, losers of two straight and four of six.
