2013 Best Pets of Brevard Calendar Contest

COCOA, Fla. — It’s that time again for your pet to “strike a pose”!  So, dust off your camera, set up the lighting and get ready for your pet to be an instant celebrity or maybe even Mr. January or Ms. October!

The Central Brevard Humane Society is proudly sponsoring their 21st Annual "Best Pets of Brevard" photo contest for their 2013 calendar.  Don't let this opportunity pass you by – it is a chance to have your critter (furry, feathery or scaly) grace the cover of what has become an annual tradition.  The cost for each entry is $10.00 per "pet" photo.  All proceeds from this fundraiser will help to pay for food, shelter and medical care for thousands of homeless animals in our community.

To enter your pet into the "Best Pets of Brevard" photo contest, simply download a copy of the 'Calendar Contest Entry' form by going to www.crittersavers.com or stopping by the Humane Society, located at 1020 Cox Road in Cocoa or visiting any of their (4) Molly Mutt Thrift Shops, located in Merritt Island, downtown Melbourne, Rockledge and Palm Bay.

Once the entry form has been completed, please mail it along with your “pet” photo and payment (please make your check payable to the Central Brevard Humane Society) to the:

Central Brevard Humane Society
Attn: Calendar Contest
1020 Cox Road
Cocoa, FL 32926

Contest guidelines:

  • Submitted photographs must be no bigger than 5" x 7" color photos (horizontal only); no black & white photos will be accepted for the contest. Original photos only. No ink jet prints or electronic images.
  • All calendar entries must be received - no later than Friday, July 6th

All photos will remain property of the Central Brevard Humane Society and will not be returned.

Has your animal companion passed away?  You can remember them by having their name, date of birth & death mentioned on the “In Memory of Page” of the calendar.  The cost is $50.00 per photo entry and those photos will be returned to you at the end of the contest.

Founded in 1952, the Central Brevard Humane Society (CBHS) is Brevard County's oldest established animal welfare organization. A "no kill for space" shelter, CBHS is dedicated to speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. We educate the community on responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals, advocate for spaying/neutering to reduce the homeless pet population and provide the best quality care to Brevard's abandoned animals by placing them with responsible, caring owners in "forever" homes.

“No more homeless pets…Spayed/Neutered…Adopted.”
