Cold front will bring drop in temps to central Florida

Cold front will bring drop in temps to central Florida — A cold front that has brought severe storms and tornadoes to states north of Florida will pass through central Florida late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

WFTV chief meteorologist Tom Terry said the storm will have lost much of it punch when it passes through and no severe weather is expected.

Wind gusts of 30-40 mph could be felt across the region as the front moves through, along with some rain.

Temperatures will only make it to the mid-60s on Thursday, and northern counties could see near-freezing temperatures early Friday morning.
