Deputies search for missing 67-year-old woman out of Marion County

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities are searching for a missing 67-year-old Marion County woman.

Deputies are looking for Melody Hixon, who was last seen in the area of the 9000 block of SE 162nd Pl in Summerfield, Fla., on May 13 around 8 p.m.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s office, Hixon was last seen wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt and jeans.

Authorities are concerned for Hixon’s well being based on the fact that she did not appear to have taken any personal items with her and has never been out of contact with family for an extended amount of time.
