TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - The Florida House has passed a bill expanding rules that govern craft distilleries, including raising limits on the amount of product produced each year and permitting product to be shipped out of state.

The vote was 71-41 Thursday in favor of the bill, which moves on to the Senate.

The measure raises the annual craft distillery production threshold from 75,000 gallons to 250,000 gallons. It also allows craft distillers to sell up to 75,000 gallons annually on site and to ship products out of state to consumers following a face-to-face transaction.

The bill makes other changes in beverage laws, including allowing wine sales in any size individual container and allowing restaurant patrons to take home partly consumed wine bottles.

The measure also allows dogs and cats on alcohol vendor premises.
