• 1 dead, 2 injured in shooting outside Daytona Beach bar


    DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Daytona Beach Police have identified a man they beleive to be responsible for the shooting outside a bar that left one person dead and two others injured.

    Investigators have issued warrants for 23-year-old Ian Maddox for first degree murder and  two for attempted murder.

    Police responded to a call of shots fired at the Circus Bar on Mason Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

    Once on scene, officers found Cory Kiser, 27, on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

    Kiser was taken to Halifax hospital where he was pronounced dead.

    A second 33-year-old female victim was shot in the hand.

    The third victim, a 34-year-old man, transported himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

    Both of the surviving victims’ wounds are considered to be non-life-threatening.

    Daytona Beach Police are now speaking to witnesses who were at the scene.

    Police have not been able to determine a motive for the shooting.

    Maddox is considered to be armed with a firearm.
