100 people in Central Florida bought lotto tickets, won $500 bonus; are you one of them? You still have four more chances to enter and win a $500 bonus this month.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Some Central Florida residents received a lucky surprise this week.

The first winners have been selected from a new promotion this month, the Florida Lottery announced Friday.

A total of 100 winners received an extra $500 in cash. Players are eligible for this raffle after they purchased $10 or more in Jackpot Draw tickets, including Florida Lotto, Jackpot Triple Play, Mega Millions or Powerball.

Coupons for the free raffle ticket will print once people purchase the tickets and they will need to be redeemed by Oct. 31 at midnight to be eligible for one of the five raffle drawings.

Four more drawings will be held during the promotion period, including the following dates:

  • Oct. 6 through Oct. 12, with the winner announced on Oct. 13
  • Oct. 13 through Oct. 19, with the winner announced on Oct. 20
  • Oct. 20 through Oct. 26, with the winner announced on Oct. 27
  • Oct. 27 through Oct. 31, with the winner announced on Nov. 1

The next winners will be picked from the current round, which will run through Oct. 12. The winner will be announced on Oct. 13.

Prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.
