Gunman sought after men found dead in car outside Orlando bar

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are looking for a gunman after two men were shot to death in a vehicle outside an Orlando lounge.

An Orange County deputy was flagged down around 5 a.m. Sunday by a witness to the shooting outside Tito’s Lounge in the 5000 block of East Colonial Drive.

Investigators said they found two men, Elijah Heller, 34, and Stephen Szorcsik, 30, shot inside a black Dodge Magnum outside the lounge. Heller was in the front seat and Szorcsik was in the back seat.

“Once deputies approached the vehicle, they found two individuals in the vehicle. One was a black male, one was a white male in the car,” said Capt. Angelo Nieves of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Both victims had been inside the lounge before the shooting, deputies said.

WFTV found out that since January there have been three calls for service from the bar to 911.

However, code enforcement told WFTV it has received no complaints about the business.

WFTV also talked to a neighboring business owner about whether he's seen any problems at Tito's Lounge.

"No, not at all, never had any issues.  I've never seen anything out of the norm.  Everything is business as normal," said business owner David Parks.

Investigators are working with the witness to find the person responsible for the shooting.

“You wouldn’t think it would happen over here,” said Robert Long, who works next door to Tito’s Lounge. “It’s a pretty decent area. Baldwin Park is right there.”

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the witness is cooperating with the investigation and has led them to a potential suspect who they have not yet identified.

Detectives are working to find out what sparked the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff’s Office or Crimeline.
