LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Lake County is ramping up its COVID-19 testing by adding three testing sites for people with or without symptoms, and at a cheaper cost.
The sites will be spread out to different areas of the county. Officials said they want to give residents more options for testing opportunities. The tests will cost $20.
On Wednesday afternoon, crews were working to get a site set up at the Cooper Memorial Library at UCCF South Lake.
The second site will open Friday and be set up at Venetian Gardens in Leesburg,109 E Dixie Ave.
The third site, which was previously opened and already conducted tests, was set up at Adult Medicine in Mount Dora, 3619 Lake Center Drive.
When the location first opened, tests were administered for $85. Since the location has partnered with the county, the cost has been reduced to $20.

Lake County officials said free testing is also available with the Health Department, but you need to first call and make an appointment and meet certain criteria to be eligible for testing.
