3 charged after crashing suspected stolen vehicle

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — Three men accused of stealing an SUV and causing a crash Monday were jailed Monday night.

Titusville police said the men stole an SUV and then hit another vehicle head-on while they were running from police.

The two occupants of the vehicle that was struck were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police said they believe the men could be connected to a number of auto thefts and break-ins.

As they were being led from the police station to the jail, one of the men told Channel 9 he didn't steal any cars.

Police said they arrested Marques Albert, Darius Grayson, and Demonte Washington.

According to police, all three were charged with being in the stolen vehicle.

Albert is also charged with fleeing and attempting to elude officers and driving without a license, police said.
