82-year-old pedestrian killed in crash on Curry Ford Road in Orlando, troopers say

ORLANDO, Fla. — An 82-year-old Orlando man was killed Wednesday night when he was hit by a car while trying to cross Curry Ford Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened at about 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of Curry Ford and Arbor View roads, troopers said.

Dhirajlal Mohini was in the median when he walked into the path of a four-door Honda driven by Sarrah Mixa, 30, of Orlando, a Florida Highway Patrol report said.

The Honda was driving west on Curry Ford Road at the time of the crash, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

No other information on the crash was immediately released.
