Homeless man charged after woman says he was kissing young boy in Conway

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police said an alert witness helped put away a suspected child molester they said targeted a boy at his bus stop.

Investigators said a woman saw 29-year-old Kyle Yearby kissing an 11-year-old boy on Oak Park Way near Semoran Boulevard in Conway, so she called police.

The woman said when she tried to stop Yearby, he told her the boy's mother knew he and the boy were hanging out.

The boy's mother told detectives that wasn’t the case and that she would never allow her son to be with a stranger.

"It's umm, it's not a comfortable feeling, because we don't have these kind of issues in this neighborhood," said resident Winthrop Silver.

"That is messed up," said Orlando resident Joseph Ortiz. "They should find that guy and completely just throw away the key."

Investigators believe the boy was not Yearby's only victim. They're asking others with information to contact authorities immediately.

Yearby, who is homeless, was arrested on felony charges and taken to the Orange County Jail.
