Man who barricaded self inside Altamonte Springs home has done it before

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — A man who had barricaded himself inside an Altamonte Springs home is in custody after authorities were called to the home Thursday evening, officials said.

Police said this is the second time Christopher Seckington has barricaded himself. The first time was in 2012.

Police said Seckington was armed with a gun inside the home on Great Bend Road.

Authorities said neighbors reported seeing Seckington in the neighborhood with a gun, which is how the incident started.

Altamonte Springs police had locked down the neighborhood, and SWAT was on the scene. A robot was sent in to check out the home.

There are no reports of injuries at this time.
