Baby alligator takes dip in hot tub

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A baby alligator is back in the wild after taking a dip in a Brevard County hot tub.

On Thursday, a 3-foot gator was found swimming in the homeowner's Jacuzzi that's connected to the pool off Coconut Lane.

The homeowner, Walter Marshall, said he noticed the gator after his dog started barking.

But when deputies got there to trap it, the gator put up a fight.

“Then all of a sudden, it just leaped right out of the pool like it had wings, and everyone jumped back including myself,” said Marshall.

Fish and wildlife officers eventually trapped the gator.

Since it's so small, they said they’ll just release it back into the wild.
