Back-to-school event big hit in Parramore

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Magic and Orlando City Soccer Club are helping students in the Parramore neighborhood get ready for the new school year.

Mayor Buddy Dyer and Commissioner Regina Hill also attended Saturday’s Back to School Celebration at the Callahan Neighborhood Center.

Students and parents were excited to have the major event in their neighborhood.

“I think what Commissioner Hill and Buddy Dyer are doing is wonderful and it’s a blessing to the neighborhood,” said parent Diane Oliver.

Everybody got the chance to meet the Magic’s community ambassador, Bo Outlaw.

The event featured educational exhibits, food and school supply giveaways.
