State senate committee passes beer tasting measure

FLORIDA — Florida stores are one step closer to being allowed to host beer tastings.

A measure to allow tastings passed a state Senate committee Thursday.

But there is concern that beer tastings could lead to a party atmosphere.

Lawmakers are working to tighten up portions of the bill to prevent alcohol abuse, before the bill goes to the Senate.
