Bill to legalize medical marijuana in Fla. considered

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida lawmakers will consider a bill to legalize medical marijuana.

State Senator Jeff Clemens filed the measure in Tallahassee Wednesday.

The bill would allow patients with debilitating medical conditions to use marijuana without the risk of arrest.

If passed, the new law could take effect by July of this year.
