Authorities identify woman found dead in Intracoastal Waterway

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Authorities have identified the woman who was found dead in the Intracoastal Waterway in New Smyrna Beach on Monday.

Carol Wilder, 70, was pulled from the water shortly after noon behind a home that's for sale in the 6300 block of River Road, investigators said.

Wilder was last seen alive on Friday and lives down the street from where her body was found, according to deputies.

Officials said there are no indications of foul play. The Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine Wilder's cause of death.
