Bones found in Winter Haven orange grove identified

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Authorities have identified skeletal remains found in a Winter Haven orange grove as those of a missing woman and her three-year-old daughter.

Investigators said the remains are those of Ronkeya Holmes and her daughter Masarah Ross.

Their remains were found in 2010.

Police said they believe that Lester Ross, the girl's father, killed them in 2009. He has not been charged with their deaths.

Ross is being held without  bond in the Polk County Jail on a witness tampering charge.
