OCALA, Fla. — Ocala police say the barbershop owner who shot and killed a 44-year-old man is cooperating with investigators and has not been arrested.
The shooting occurred at the "Fadez R Us" on North Magnolia Avenue Saturday around 4:45 p.m., police said.
Officers said the owner called police to report the shooting, then surrendered his firearm when they arrived.

The victim, identified as Donell Dewese, suffered a single gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital, police said. He was originally listed in critical condition, but died from his injuries over the weekend.
Police said the two men knew each other, but have not given any details about what led to the shooting.
Ocala police would not say if a surveillance camera outside the barbershop recorded the incident.
Police would also not say if they were investigating the shooting as a "Stand Your Ground" case.

Records show Dewese had been arrested numerous times on charges related to domestic abuse, fraud, drugs and fleeing from police.
