BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that happened early Saturday morning in Brevard County.
Troopers said the crash occurred at 5:23 a.m. near the intersection of Hog Valley Road and Bluebill Drive in Mims.

According to troopers, the driver of a car traveling northbound on Hog Valley Road suffered a medical issue and left the roadway.
The car came to rest against some bushes on the side of the road.

The 78-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger was not injured in the crash.
