Palm Bay woman arrested after stabbing mother to death, police say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A Palm Bay woman faces second-degree murder charges after police said she stabbed her mother to death.

Officers said it happened Saturday at the victim’s house on Canal Lane in Palm Bay.

Police said Jackalynn D’Auria, 19, got into an argument with her mother and stabbed her in the chest.

The victim died at the hospital.

Police said the suspect ran away and hid on a bus until she was found.

She’s now being held in the Brevard County Jail.
