SpaceX plans Falcon 9 launch from KSC for Transporter-4 mission on Friday

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — SpaceX is set to launch a Falcon 9 rocket Friday afternoon from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

This launch is for SpaceX’s Transporter-4 mission.

The rocket will carry 40 spacecraft, including microsatellites and nanosatellites for commercial and government customers.

As of Thursday afternoon, the weather is a 30% go for the launch.

SpaceX said the launch window opens at 12:24 p.m.

Falcon 9′s first stage booster has previously launched Crew-1, Crew-2, SXM-8, CRS-23, IXPE, and one Starlink mission, SpaceX said.

SpaceX is aiming to land the Falcon 9′s first stage on the Just Read the Instructions droneship in the Atlantic Ocean.
