Police looking for suspects who allegedly beat up people, stole 2 cars in Titusville

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Several police agencies are asking the public’s help in identifying two suspects who they believe beat up a man, pistol-whipped another and stole two cars Tuesday afternoon.

Micah Stubbe said he was at a gas station on Garden Street in Titusville. When he walked back to his car, he said a stranger came straight for him.

“He then pushed me up against the car, put the gun in my face and told me to give him the keys,” Stubbe told Eyewitness News.

While that was happening, a second man rummaged through Stubbe’s car. Stubbe said he finally got away from the man hitting him, then threw his keys into the grass. That’s when the pair finally gave up, and took off.

“I do feel lucky,” Stubbe said. “I think there’s a very real chance they could have killed me.”

Titusville police say the two suspects then ran to a hotel next door, where they pistol-whipped one man and pushed down another before taking off in that person’s truck to I-95.

Troopers said the suspects flipped their stolen ride after cutting off a semi-truck. They then carjacked a good Samaritan who stopped to check on them.

The two were last seen leaving the crash scene in a 2020 Malibu. Police said they’re confident they’ll find the culprits.

“We have physical evidence in the car that was flipped, so we’re going to identify these two, there’s no doubt about it,” Titusville Police Chief John Lau said.

Also in Titusville, police arrested Angel Rivas for allegedly stealing a car in front of an ice cream shop. Police say he took an unoccupied Nissan that was still running outside Space Coast Ice Cream.
