ORLANDO, Fla. — Bars across the state have been closed for months.

Starting Monday, they can finally reopen, but only at 50% capacity, and owners must comply with strict guidelines.

At Will’s Pub, owner Will Walker was arranging patio furniture Sunday to expand outdoor seating as much as possible.

Walker is one of many bar owners in the state who is hoping they have done everything the state wants, even though Florida hasn’t yet made it clear what it wants.

“The last thing I read from the state said that they would be sending out by Monday, a list of FAQs like frequently asked questions for us to have,” Walker said.

Walker is wiping everything down and hauling everything out of storage as he readies to reopen.

Walker is doing the same as fellow bar owner Roger Wall of Embassy’s Irish Pub in downtown Orlando, checking everything off their very long to-do lists.

“The business has sat idle for basically five months,” Wall said. “We have to give it the love it needs to bring it back to life.”
