Caretaker accused of punching disabled patient in Walmart parking lot

The caretaker of a disabled man was arrested after police said she punched the patient in the parking lot of a Walmart in Fruitland Park.
Denesha Vicks, 24, was arrested Saturday.
Police were called about 3 p.m. to the Walmart on Citrus Boulevard, where they found the victim bleeding from the mouth.
The victim, who police said was very distraught, pointed to Vicks and said she hit him in the mouth multiple times, according to police.
The victim, who was not identified, lives in an assisted living facility, and Vicks is his caretaker.
A witness told police he saw the victim and suspect arguing in the parking lot before Vicks struck the victim multiple times in the mouth.
The victim was too distraught to tell police what led to the fight, according to a report.
He lost a tooth in the incident, the report said.
Police said surveillance video from the store showed Vicks punching the victim in the face.
The victim was taken to Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
Vicks is facing a charge of aggravated abuse of a disabled adult.
