Carnival Cruise Lines celebrates 2 million guests since return to sailing

PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. — Carnival Cruise Line announced they have reached two million guests since returning to sailing last summer.


The Gibbs family from Ocala was greeted with a special celebration as they boarded the Carnival Freedom in Port Canaveral Thursday.

Carnival said 22 ships from 13 U.S. ports have resumed service since July of 2021.

The cruise line said that the number of cruise options offered will increase later this year.

The Carnival Magic is set to begin sailing from New York in June, the Carnival Splendor from Sydney, Australia in October and Carnival Celebration from Miami this November.
