Channel 9 photographer gets big surprise upon final chemo treatment

OVIEDO, Fla. — It was a big day for a special member of the Channel 9 family.

On Friday, photographer Thomas Durdin completed his last chemo treatment and his Channel 9 family was there to cheer him on.

Thomas was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer in April.

When he began chemotherapy in May, he shared a call to action for men to get checked.

“When something is wrong we kinda brush it off. I’m alright, I’m good. Well that “I’m good” isn’t going to work anymore because we’re dying at early ages.” Durdin said.

You can watch Thomas’ story here.
