• Cops: 2 girls used in burglary, father arrested

    ANNA MARIA, Fla. - Police say a 29-year-old Florida man is charged with child neglect after bringing his young children along while stealing from a construction site.
     
    The man was arrested Thursday in Manatee County and his daughters, ages 6 and 8, were placed in the custody of child protective services.

    The Sarasota Herald-Tribune
    reports the man and his friend took the children to a construction site on Thursday evening. The man took the girls into the fenced-off site and had them help carry rebar and wire back to the car, where the friend helped them load the materials into the vehicle.
