Cops: Men sought after beating, shooting mentally disabled man buying candy

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A disabled man buying a candy bar at an Orange County gas station was beaten, and then shot four times, according to deputies.

Investigators said a man waited outside the Silver Star Road store for the victim, who buys a candy bar every night, and sucker punched him.

The victim chased the attacker to his car and that's when a second man shot him four times, deputies said.

Deputies said the violence was caused by an argument the night before.

Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information.

The victim, whose name was not released, was treated and released from the hospital.
