Crash, broken power pole close lanes of U.S. 1 in Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A crash has shut down some lanes of U.S. 1 and knocked out power to some residences and businesses in Daytona Beach Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Daytona Beach Fire Department, an SUV rolled over and hit a power pole around 12:30 p.m.

Officials said the power pole broke, knocking out power in the area.

Fire officials said southbound lanes of U.S. 1, Ridgewood Avenue, is closed between Madison and Mason Avenues.

There were no injuries in the accident and officials said they don't know how long it will take to repair the pole and reopen the road.
