• Crews battle 2-alarm fire at Seminole County home


    SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - Firefighters battling a 2-alarm fire at a home in Seminole County Friday afternoon.

    Crews responded to a home on Fantasy Lane in Chuluota shortly after 3:30 p.m.

    According to fire officials, smoke and flames were visible when crews arrived at the scene. Firefighters said the incident started with a vehicle fire, which spread to the home.

    Firefighters said four people live in the house but only one was home when the fire started. That person made it out of the house uninjured.

    One firefigher was transported to the hospital because of heat exhaustion, and was released several hours later.

    Officials said the homeowner is a Partin Elementary School teacher and the school's Parent Teacher Association is organizing donations for the family.
