DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A $5,000 reward is being offered for information on two robbers who tried to hold up a parking garage clerk in one of Daytona Beach's largest shopping areas.

Surveillance cameras recorded the two men early Tuesday morning at the Ocean Walk parking garage near A1A.

One man had a knife and reached into the attendant's booth, putting the blade to Regina Bland's neck. As Bland struggled with one of the robbers, the other man tried to get inside th ebooth to steal money.

He was unsuccessful, and both men escaped only with a handful of Bland's hair.

The ordeal terrified Bland, who called 911 shortly after.

"I'm the one that they stabbed up a couple of times and cut me across my wrist," Bland told dispatchers.

"Alright, where were you stabbed?" the operator asked.

"Across my chest. He had the knife across my chest, all in my throat," Bland responded.

The men, believed to be between the ages of 18 and 25, fled in a burgundy Ford Taurus with missing hubcaps, police said.

Authorities said Bland wasn't as badly injured as she originally thought, suffering only minor injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS.
