• Man fatally stabbed at Daytona Beach gas station, police say

    DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Daytona Beach Police Department said a man is accused of stabbing and killing another man at a Citgo gas station early Saturday morning.

    Officers have arrested Joe McCants, 50, after police said he fatally stabbed Thebese Rankin, 27.

    Around 4:30 a.m., police said, officers arrived at a Citgo gas station at 600 W. International Speedway Blvd. to find Rankin suffering from a stab wound. 

    Officials said paramedics took Radkin to a hospital, where he later died.

    McCants is facing a second-degree murder charged and is being held on no bail.
