ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Sheriff's Office said crime scene technicians investigated an area Saturday where a decomposed body was found.
At 12:43 p.m., deputies said they responded to the 300 block of Scottsdale Square for a man down call for service.
Andrew Green said he was walking behind Winter Park Woods when he found a body covered by trash bags.
"It's not every day you see a dead body in your backyard," Green said.
Green said he ran back inside and immediately called 911.
Soon after, investigators confirmed his discovery and blocked off the entire building.
"I've lived here for six years and they've found different things in the woods here and there. There's been, like, a couple little shootings and stuff just from, like, drug deals gone bad, but for them to block it off like this, this is bigger than anything that's happened," a neighbor said.
A spokesperson said it is too early to tell if the death was suspicious.
No other details were available.
