• Deltona man found shot in Sanford; victim's car missing


    VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - Deputies said they are searching for a car that belongs to a Deltona man who was found unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound in a wooded area in Sanford on Friday.

    Christopher Jemery, 25, was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center after he was found around noon Friday. His injuries are said to be life-threatening, according to deputies.

    Officials said Jemery's 2013 Nissan Altima is missing and deputies are currently searching for it. The vehicle is silver and has a license plate tag of BPD W87.

    Deputies said Jemery's girlfriend called 911 Friday afternoon after she went to his apartment in Deltona to check on him. According to investigators, there were obvious signs of a struggle inside the apartment.
