Deputies: 1 person injured, 1 in custody after shooting in Seville

VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLA. — Volusia County deputies say one person was injured in a shooting in Seville Thursday night.

Deputies were called to the 200 block of Columbia Court just before 9 p.m. for reports of a shooting.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim was shot by a friend during an argument. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

Deputies initially had to search for the shooter, but they were eventually taken into custody.

The sheriff’s office hasn’t said what charges, if any, the shooter could be facing.
