Investigators said the victim had left her home early on Monday, Dec. 20, to meet with family.
When she returned home she found her front door open and all the wrapped Christmas presents missing.
After deputies went public with details of the theft, they received several tips identifying Johnson as the man in the photos and were able to obtain a warrant for his arrest.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd thanked the community for helping catch Johnson.
“I am thankful for all the tips we received from the community. And even though he wasn’t in jail by Christmas, he’s in jail now,” Judd said.
