• Surviving suspect in ATM robbery attempt held on no bond

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - The surviving suspect involved in a Fern Park ATM robbery was denied bond Sunday by a Seminole County judge.

Austin Harvey, 19, made his first appearance Sunday morning.

The judge denied bond for Harvey, who is being charged with attempted armed robbery and murder.

The robbery attempt took place Friday around 10:30 p.m. at the Fairwinds Credit Union on Fernwood Blvd. in Fern Park, according to investigators.

Deputies said the victim was approached by Slivinski and Harvey while he was using the drive through ATM. The pair, who were armed with knives, confronted the victim. That's when investigators said the victim pulled out a gun and fired shots at the suspects.

Slivinski was shot and killed. Harvey ran from the scene but was later located and taken into custody, according to deputies.

The victim was not injured during the incident and is not facing any charges.

Harvey is facing a murder charge because the attempted robbery contributed to the death of Slivinski, deputies said.
