Gunshot victim found in Orange Co. lot identified

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities are investigating after a Lynx bus driver spotted a gunshot victim in an Orange County parking lot Thursday morning.

Orange County Sheriff's Office investigators said the man, 35-year-old Richard Bonds, was shot somewhere else before the driver found him in the lot in the 6000 block of Lake Ellenor Drive.

Investigators said the man was pronounced dead at the scene, but believe the shooting took place on Pineway Drive.

According to investigators, a Lynx driver was taking patients to a dialysis clinic when the body was discovered next to a dumpster about 5:15 a.m.

Deputies said the investigation is still open and have not released details on what took place at Pineway Drive.

They did not name any suspects.
