Family of child found in Marion County located

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Marion County deputies spent time Tuesday afternoon trying to find the family of a young girl found in the Marion Oaks community Tuesday.

The girl, approximately 5-years-old, was found along the 14800 block of SW 35^th Avenue.

The girl wasn't able to tell deputies where she lives, or the names of her parents.

At around 6 p.m. deputies said the girl's parents showed up at the Marion Oaks district office.

Deputies did not say why the girl was on her own, or if any charges will be filed.
