Deputies: Man found stuck in grocery store window after stealing ham sandwich

APOPKA, Fla. — A man is waking up in jail Monday after what deputies called a "break-in gone bad" in Apopka.

Deputies said Chad Winslow broke into a local grocery store through a grease trap and got stuck in a window on his way out.

A deputy was called to Sam's Discount Grocery store after an alarm went off Saturday morning.

Deputy Kent Matherne said when he got there, he found Winslow stuck in a window and covered in grease.

"I approached him, challenged him, told him who I was; Orange County Sheriff's Office. Told him not to move and he said, 'I can't. I'm stuck,'" said Matherne.

Winslow was taken to the hospital before he was hauled off to jail.

Deputies said the only thing he stole was a ham sandwich.
